Districts 2 and 14 are hosting a Kay Bailey Hutchison Master Plan town hall today from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library.
Councilmembers Jesse Moreno (District 2) and Paul Ridley (District 14) will be discussing the Master Plan and opening the floor for public input. The Master Plan refers to the expansion of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.Â
The Master Plan was set in motion back in February of 2021. After being awarded a project management contract and receiving $3.7 billion in funding, the Master Plan is now on the brink of construction.
Construction is targeted for completion between 2028 and 2029.
