District 9 Councilwoman Paula Blackmon will be hosting a discussion at Skillman Southwestern Branch Library a week from today, on Monday, Sept. 16 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Promotional materials for the D9 On the Go event encourage residents to bring questions and to prepare themselves for a discussion.

This comes after the City Council voted to tentatively amend its FY-2024-2025 Budget to keep the Skillman Southwestern Branch in operation through the fiscal year as a result of an amendment put forward by Councilwoman Blackmon.

The potential closure will not be completely ruled out until City Council approves the final budget on Wednesday, Sept. 18.
