District 9 representative Leroy Tamfu was appointed to be the Vice Chair of the Dallas Youth Commission on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
The District 9 resident and senior at the Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy has served on the Dallas Youth Commission since 2023, working as an ambassador, aiding in the creation of the Youth Environmental Committee and serving as the Secretary for the Youth Commission this past year.
Tamfu has also been responsible for assisting in the organization and creation of the White Rock trash pick-up and an Environmental Teen Town Hall.
