This year’s edition of the DART student art contest asks participants to “salute hometown heroes.”
That could mean workers in healthcare or essential workers in transportation, grocery stores and government, plus linemen and others who worked through the winter storm.
“When creating your entry, think of all the everyday people that have made a positive impact in your life or the lives of others these past few months,” the instructions say.
“Heroes come in many forms. Show us what your hero looks like!”
March 23 is the deadline to enter.

It’s free to enter, and winning artwork may be used on DART posters, plus there are prizes.
