A variety of resources can help you find your child’s best-fit school

Dallas ISD schools are enrolling now for the coming school year. That means your family can access an array of innovative educational options such as STEM/STEAM, personalized learning, talented and gifted, dual language, leadership and single-gender academic programs.

New and returning K-12 students can now enroll in one of these or other programs at neighborhood schools across the district. Parents with questions can receive enrollment assistance at www.dallasisd.org/enrollment. Whether families are new to the neighborhood, the district or the country, they are encouraged to take advantage of these enrollment resources. Parents are asked to enroll all students, even those returning to the same campus.

Not to be left out, schools that serve our youngest learners are also preparing for the new year. Parents of future pre-K students can find out if they are eligible for a free pre-K seat and apply at www.dallasisd.org/prek. Prekindergarten may be the best gift you can give your child. Data shows that students who attend pre-K outperform students who miss out on this priceless early learning opportunity.

“When students come through our pre-K program, they are set up for better success in the future,” said Elena Hill, assistant superintendent for Dallas ISD early learning. “It is encouraging to see the benefits our pre-K program offers to our youngest learners.”

Families can explore available options offered in their neighborhood schools through the new online school-shopping platform, School Finder. This dynamic online tool lets families search for schools by address, grade level, or specialty program. School Finder also includes links to every district campus with important information, such as grades served, school hours, uniform colors, demographic data and the documents required for enrollment.

Assistance with online or in-person enrollment is also available across the district at our one-stop shops, the ONE Centers. The centers are open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the following locations:

  • Northwest – Linus Wright Administration Building, 9400 North Central Expwy.
  • Central – Kathlyn Joy Gilliam Collegiate Academy, 1700 E. Camp Wisdom Rd.
  • Southeast – Turney W. Leonard Training center, 5151 Samuel Blvd.

Families may also call the enrollment hotline (972) 925-5560 or reach out via email to: enroll@dallasisd.org. In addition to the ONE Centers, families are welcome to contact their neighborhood schools with questions.
