FBI agent Matthew DeSarno identified the shooter as 22-year-old Brian Isaack Clyde at a news conference near the scene, the Dallas Morning News reported.

It is unclear how long Clyde attended Woodrow, but he withdrew from Dallas ISD on March 1, 2012, district spokeswoman Nina Lakhiani said in an email. No other information can be released because of Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act regulations, she said.

The Facebook profile lists several other high schools, including Vandergrift High School in Austin and Leander High School in the suburb north of the capital.

Clyde had shared images of weapons, including a sword and multiple ammunition magazines, on Facebook and posted negative references to the government and pictures of himself in military uniforms.
