On Aug. 16, a Dallas police officer was arrested by the Dallas Police Department for assault family violence (P.C. 22.01 M/C), according to a press release from the Dallas Police Department. Officer Raymond Petty, No. 9142, has been with the department since May 2007 and is currently assigned to the Central Patrol Division. Petty has been placed on administrative leave pending an Internal Affairs Division administrative investigation, police say. Petty was in custody at the Dallas County jail and no bond had been set.
