The Dallas Police Department coerced some kids, which I have a sneaking suspicion are their kids, to star in this YouTube video that offers safety tips to holiday shoppers.

Dallas PD also warns on its Facebook page that “cars are lethal:”
“Talking on the phone and texting are very distracting. Children and other passengers are distracting. The longer your drive the less attention people pay to the road.
“Don’t let this busy time cause you to pay less than full attention to the road. With the added pressure of family funtions, holiday parties and shopping trips please take caution while driving.
“Being late is better than not arriving at all. Slow down….wear your seatbelt and ensure all occupants in your vehicle are wearing theirs….watch out for other vehicles….look twice for Pedestrians and Motorcycles….and be patient.”
