The nonprofit Dallas 24 Hour Club, which is headquartered in Old East Dallas on Ross Avenue, is hosting the event and will use the funds raised from it to continue serving people who are homeless and struggling with addiction. Specifically, the money will help The 24 provide transitional living, support services and life skills training, according to a press release.

“We see the impact of our work every day,” Dallas 24 Hour Club CEO Tim Grigsby said in the press release. “Our mission isn’t just about providing transitional living — it’s about offering a structured path to recovery and independence for homeless alcoholics and addicts. Every dollar raised at the Dallas All Star Chef Classic directly fuels that mission, allowing us to continue leading and providing a lifeline for people when they need it most.”

Dallas All Star Chef Classic will start at 5:30 p.m. in The Empire Room in the Design District, and the honorary chef chairperson is Miriam Jimenez of Miriam Cocina Latina, which is near Klyde Warren Park. Including Jimenez, there are at least 26 participating chefs, including some with businesses in East Dallas — Pawat Aiemsomang of Komodo Dallas, CJ Morgan of The Hubcap Café, Meaders Ozarow of Empire Baking Company, Alejandro Velazquez of McRae’s American Bistro & Cocktails, and Justin Wern of Garden Café.

“Every year, the Dallas All Star Chef Classic showcases the incredible generosity and talent of our city’s culinary community and the best chefs in town,” Grigsby said in the press release. “We are thrilled to have such a distinguished group of chefs, chairs and supporters joining us to make this event a success. Their contributions make a direct impact on the lives of those who are working hard to rebuild their lives through our programs at The 24.”

The event will also include live music by the Manhattan Band from the Jordan Kahn Music Company, according to the press release.

Other leaders of the Dallas All Star Chef Classic are event chairpersons Lindsay Billingsley and Lili Luth as well as honorary chairpersons Amy and Bruce Williams, who are participating in memory of their son Trevor Henley.

“We are honored to serve as this year’s Honorary Chairs in memory of our beloved son, Trevor Henley,” the Williamses said in the press release. “He was truly the most kind and giving person and never walked past a person or animal in need without stopping to help. Trevor faced addiction with courage and heart, and the Dallas 24 Hour Club was a place of hope for him. We are proud to continue Trevor’s legacy of love and support the club’s mission as it becomes a place of hope for so many others.”

Tickets cost $200. There are also other packages for various group sizes that grant signage and media recognition, plus access to the VIP reception that starts a half hour before the event, among other perks.
