Something crisp and green is coming to Lower Greenville, and it isn’t a load of cash. (Dream on, right?) Rather, it’s of the more leafy variety.

Crisp Salad Company is now under construction at 2020 Greenville, with the end goal of offering a hybrid concept that combines the build-your-own-salad or wrap experience with a tastefully designed menu and a new, freshness-inspired touch.

As can be assumed by the name, Crisp will be all about salads — “not as an appetizer or warm-up, but as an expertly chopped or deliciously wrapped, healthy meal,” according to a press release. The restaurant menu will feature seasonal, local and organic produce, as well as premium quality proteins in its chef-prepared creations. Crisp’s signature, uniquely designed salad dressings will be prepared in-house.

Crisp also plans to offer mini cupcakes by That’s Sweet, a local Dallas boutique bakery.

Management hopes to open sometime this fall. You can track Crisp’s Facebook page for progress. The physical address is 2020 Greenville, but you — like me — might have trouble finding it on Google maps. For some reason, Google maps points to the back parking lot behind Kush (at least it does for me) as the location of the building, but the new Crisp is decidedly not going to be in Kush’s parking lot. It’s going to be across Prospect from Kush, between the Char Bar and Teppo Yakitory.
