The real estate technology brokerage Compass is adding agents and opening a permanent office in East Dallas, according to a news release.

Construction is underway on the 8,000-square-foot Dallas office, which will include an outdoor patio for entertaining clients. It will house 55 agents, who will move into the space near the Lakewood Country Club by the end of the year, according to the release.

East Dallas founding agents include Scott Jackson, Nancy Johnson, Mysti Stewart and Heather Guild.

“East Dallas is home to some of the most unique neighborhoods and businesses in Dallas, and we are proud to be part of this amazing community,” Dallas-Fort Worth General Manager Erik Bahr said in a statement.

Compass is also opening an office in Fort Worth, the Dallas Business Journal reported.

Since entering the DFW market in 2018, the New York City-based company has grown from from 12 to more than 325 agents in five offices, according to the business journal. Compass operates in 30 regions with more than 90 U.S. offices.

The Compass brand is known for integrating technology to the home-buying experience through a suite of technological tools, such as the latest residential market data, extensive inventory listings and historical sales trends.
