The fast-casual restaurant will be in the old BurgerFi space at 5456 E. Mockingbird Lane, according to The Dallas Morning News.

This project has been in the works since at least last August when Chipotle applied for a commercial alteration addition permit, according to City records. Permits, all of which are in the inspection phase, for signage and commercial electrical, plumbing and mechanical work also appear to have been applied for.

If you’re somehow unfamiliar with Chipotle, the restaurant is known for its burritos and bowls but also has salads and tacos. This new store will join the four other locations of the chain in East Dallas (east of U.S.-75, south of Loop 12 and north of I-30) and others not too far from our neighborhood.
