Dallas Police

Two weeks after the attack on Dallas Police officers, neighbors are still finding ways to show their support.

East Dallas chef John Tesar, of Knife, and a group of local chefs are inviting people to The Giving Table at The Highland Dallas tomorrow night.

The event will raise funds for the Guns & Hoses Foundation of North Texas. The group, founded in 2002, assists the families of fallen first responders. The Giving Table will be held from 6-10 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person, or you can pay for yourself and a police officer for $100.

A second Giving Table event at Trinity Groves, hosted by Sharon Van Meter, Katherine Clapner and Lisa Moore, will be Sunday, July 31, also from 6-10 p.m. This event includes a silent auction and entertainment. Tickets are $65 per person.

Recently East Dallas neighbors have done everything from sell lemonade to leave memorials outside of police stations to back the blue.
