Countless neighborhood businesses have reinvented themselves amid the coronavirus pandemic to stay afloat while keeping us safe. Businesses need our help more than ever. In addition to shopping local, consider nominating a business that has gone above and beyond for a Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce award.
The chamber will present five awards, each with different criteria:
Business of the Year
This award is for the most outstanding business of the year in East Dallas.
Entrepreneur of the Year
This award is for entrepreneurial achievement and individual successes throughout the year.
Chairman’s Award
This award will go to a business that demonstrated outstanding support to the chamber and the community and/or an individual associated with the company who made a notable contribution to the community and to the chamber.
Live Local Award
This award will go to a small business or local business owner in East Dallas who is a community leader and supports and gives back to the neighborhood.
R.S. Munger Business Pioneer Award
This award is for a business owner who was solely, or at least primarily, responsible for the development of an innovative technology, creative concept, process, business method or model. The owner should have significant East Dallas connections by living or working in the neighborhood for a large part of life.
