“I am interested in a permanent location, maybe a few,” said Dave Culwell, owner and head chef of Burger Schmurger to the Lakewood Advocate in January. “I’m sure the right opportunity will come up, and we’ll jump on it. We will always have a pop-up state of mind regardless of where it takes us.”
It appears that the right opportunity finally presented itself to Culwell, who made news this week by moving his brand into the old Bar None space at 718 N Buckner Rd, marking his first brick-and-mortar establishment.
Prior to the news, Burger Schmurger had been operating out of the High Fives kitchen five nights a week, in-between pop-up events around the neighborhood. As of now, no open date has been announced.
