The Branching Out Volunteer Tree Plantings continue at Casa Linda Park this Saturday, Nov. 2.
From 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. 36 trees will be planted between the basketball and tennis courts. The planting is a result of the collaboration between the Little Forest Hills Neighborhood Association and Dallas Park and Recreation.
Casa Linda Park has lost several trees in recent years, and as the Association is planning to replace them through the planting, they are also looking to find ways to fund the irrigation system needed to maintain the trees.
The Association will also be hosting a silent auction on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE). The proceeds from the auction will be used to fund the irrigation system for Casa Linda Park.
Attendees are encouraged to bring items for the auction such as gift cards, gift baskets, jewelry etc. The FOE will be open at 2:00 p.m. the day of the auction for people to drop off their items early.
Individuals interested in volunteering for the planting will be able to register at this link.
