Husband-and-wife business partners Craig and Jennifer Spivey of Lakewood turned the theater into Bowlski’s bowling lounge. The Spiveys helped open Bowlounge in the Dallas Design District in 2013. And they opened the first Bowlski’s near Aspen, Colorado last year.

The Spiveys live near the theater and kept an eye on it over the years as various plans for the theater came and went. They finally scored a lease on it early this year.

Bowlski’s has 10 lanes for bowling, plus golf simulators, karaoke rooms and gaming suites. The Spiveys saved the theater’s stage, which could be used for performances or karaoke. The restaurant and bar serves such bowling-friendly fare as sliders and pizza rolls.

In case you missed our exclusive feature story on Bowlski’s in July, it has everything you ever wanted to know.

Bowlski’s is throwing three opening parties Friday and Saturday. Tickets cost $60 for an hour and a half of bowling and $40 for general admission.

After that, Bowlski’s is open Sunday-Thursday 11 a.m.-midnight and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m.-2 a.m. .
