The Blue Angels will fly over North Texas on Wednesday to salute health care workers battling COVID-19. The flyovers are expected to take place between 11 a.m. and noon. Jets will enter the McKinney area and fly southward into the neighborhood along the path outlined in black. The trail was designed to put jets over area hospitals in view of exhausted hospital employees working to save victims of COVID-19.

The Blue Angels are a demonstration squadron of the United States Navy created in 1946 by Admiral Chester Nimitz. In recent weeks, they have flown missions of appreciation over health care facilities in New York City, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Washington, D.C.

The jets will pass quickly overhead, but you aren’t likely to miss them. The loud roar and white-streaked sky will be proof of America’s gratitude.
