The students, faculty and staff at Bishop Lynch were given fourteen days to collect as much food as they could during the 2015 Thanksgiving Food Drive. At the end of two weeks, the counted it up and found they’d raised almost 7,000 pounds of food for Catholic Charities of Dallas food program.

The school collects food every November and the drive typically brings in around 6,000 pounds of food, which is then donated to a local pantry. This year’s effort surpassed the expectations of junior class student council moderator and food drive organizer, Pam Price.

“The Bishop Lynch community really came through this year,” Price says. “It’s special to see how everyone comes together for a common cause, and we can be very proud of our contribution to the Catholic Charities food program. The donations will help many, many families even past the holidays.”
