All pieces in the exhibition use trash to showcase the challenges facing many bodies of water, including East Dallas’ very own White Rock Lake. Dallas artist Jane Cornish Smith illustrates this environmental issue using trash collected by For Love of the Lake volunteers, as well as traditional art media. Presenting 22 pieces total, Smith hopes to raise awareness about lake health and the impact of littering, the press release said.
