Owner Bobby Shuey and Chef Tim Woehr opened a test kitchen of Bad Chicken in Preston Center two years ago to ensure Dallas was the right location for future growth plans. Amazed at the positive reviews and consumer demand, it was eventually time to open a new home base for Bad Chicken in Old East Dallas.

“This is a place where you can come for a quick bite at lunch, bring the kids after a long day of work and let them enjoy the food and games, or even pick up for a large group of friends or family at home. Bad Chicken is not only a fast and easy option but also a neighborhood restaurant with housemade items and a lot of care put into the menu,” Shuey said.

The new chicken restaurant features a large family-friendly patio, an arcade area in their dining room, a revamped menu, beer, wine, cocktails and a drive-thru (yes you can order drinks through drive-thru.)

“We’re thrilled to offer a new, yet familiar experience at Bad Chicken. We’ll still have customers’ same delicious favorites but with some new amazing additions from Woehr. It’s also even more convenient to grab Bad Chicken quickly with our drive-thru open all day and into late night,” Shuey said.

Bad Chicken’s menu boasts various offerings including wings, nuggets, chicken bowls, sampler plates, chicken sandwiches, salads, and slides like curly fries, elote, coleslaw and mac & cheese.

Bad Chicken also features a large dessert menu including cheesecake egg rolls with blueberry compote, churro donut holes, chocolate mousse cups, heavenly chocolate cookies, lemon ice box pie and creme brulee.

“My wife and I are dessert addicts so we wanted to create a robust selection of desserts and all made in-house,” Shuey says.

The 2,800-square-foot eatery includes indoor seating for 44 and patio seating for 40. The dining room, patio and drive-thru is open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Friday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 a.m.
