But Twilight Thursdays are back by popular demand
It probably comes as no surprise that the Dallas Arboretum canceled its fall lineup of shows for the Cool Thursdays concert series because of the coronavirus.
The decision came after months of consultation with the Arboretum’s board chairman, the Park and Recreation Department and Dallas County health officials, according to an announcement on the Arboretum’s website.
The spring lineup, scheduled to begin April 2, was also canceled after Dallas County implemented its stay-at-home order in mid-March.
However, the Arboretum is moving forward with other programs, such as Autumn at the Arboretum, featuring 90,000 pumpkins, gourds and squash, from Sept. 19-Nov. 1 and Twilight Thursdays from Sept. 24-Oct. 29. The garden will be open until 8 p.m. so guests can enjoy the garden during the cool fall evenings.
