A large fire destroyed an apartment complex that was under construction in Old East Dallas on Saturday night, authorities said.

Firefighters responded about 10:40 p.m. to the blaze at 4475 Scurry St. More than 60 firefighters extinguished the flames in about an hour, Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman Jason Evans said.

Four buildings, totaling 14 apartments, were destroyed, he said. No occupants were injured because the buildings are still under construction.

The cause of the fire is still being determined.
