The Southern-inspired breakfast and lunch cafe, Another Broken Egg, has closed in the Casa Linda Plaza after about 10 years in business, a spokeswoman for the chain said Monday.

The eatery shut its doors Feb. 25 because the owner could not agree on lease terms with the property owner, Edens, said Jan Barnett, chief marketing officer for Another Broken Egg.

Barnett said she did not know if owner Chris Harwood would reopen the cafe in a new location. The restaurant still has three locations in the area, including Dallas proper, Southlake and The Colony.

Another Broken Egg called it quits about two months after the Maddox Shop closed in the same shopping center. The custom bra and upscale lingerie shop had operated at the location since 1961. Owner Mark Snyder told the Dallas Morning News in December that the shop closed because increasing rental rates at the plaza were too high.

Harwood and Edens did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
