Talked to Jay Chanaa of Ali Baba this morning, and he says the Mediterranean restaurant should be open on the southeast corner of the center by the end of May or the beginning of June.
It’s going in where Carrabba’s used to be (Wamre snapped the picture to the left — it’s renovation work that was being done earlier this week). Chanaa says the usual sorts of construction problems have cropped up, which has delayed the move from lower Greenville. In addition, the company wants to make the space a little less chain Italian and more Ali Baba-ish, with new flooring and a new paint job.
