Elvis has been dead for nearly 32 years, supposedly. And if you want to mark the anniversary of King’s passing on Aug. 16, 1977, La Parillada on Tuesday night is the place to do it. Domingo Carvajal, an Elvis tribute artist from Midlothian, belts out Elvis tunes for diners and a few Elvis fanatics there every week.

Carvajal calls himself “the best voice of Elvis,” and if you go see him, you will find out why. He doesn’t look much like the King, even with the gaudy polyester jumpsuit and 70s sideburns, but he sure does sound like him. His shows start at 7:30 p.m.
