Eco Fest at the Promise of Peace community garden was Saturday. If you missed it, there’s an upcoming oportunity to support the nonprofit’s efforts to improve life for lower income East Dallasites. The One Hundred Mile Dinner is May 13, and proceeds go to the Promise of Peace summer camp, where kids will learn about photography, healthy lifestyles and art, plus they’ll take a field trip to a farm.
Tickets to the dinner at the White Rock Filter Building are $100 each, and they’re avaiable at Times Ten Cellars and Downing Hill. The dinner features several high-profile chefs cooking with local ingredients, plus a reggae band.
