The call for the City’s second annual AAPI Heritage and Dragon Boat Festival designer is coming up on Friday, Nov. 22.

The festival is meant to celebrate the contributions of the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) community to the greater Dallas area and will include cultural performances, lectures, arts activities, vendors and dragon boat racing on May 18, 2025 at White Rock Lake.

The Office of Arts & Culture is inviting AAPI artists in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex to submit four to six images of design/illustration work for consideration to design promotional materials for the event.

The selected artist will be compensated $800 to design a save the date graphic, print media, social media graphics and a t-shirt design for the festival. Learn more about the art guidelines and the scope of work here.

Eligibility includes the following:

-AAPI community members are highly encouraged to apply.

-Artist must reside in the DFW Metroplex. 

-Artist must be able to work collaboratively with event organizers to create final promotional graphics.

-Artist must be able to register as a City of Dallas vendor and fill out a W9 form.
