Tap into your right brain this Saturday with some writing events.The Southwest Writers are meeting from 1–3 p.m. at the Lakewood Branch Library for sharing and constructive criticism of creative pieces.
Then, hop over to the Dallas Poetry Slam’s youth series at Half Price Books at 5803 East Northwest Highway. The free event, also hosted by WordSpace, starts with a writing workshop at 4 p.m. followed by a slam and open mic at 5 p.m.
