At the end of January, Ben, one of our blog posters, noted that the various First Worthing Cityville properties — including the lower Greenville and Live Oak developments — were for sale. Turns out he scooped Dallas’ Only Daily Newspaper, which reported this morning that GE Real Estate is the likely buyer for the properties.
I wonder: Does GE know what it is in for? First Worthing, which is local, has had its problems with the neighborhood. GE, which is far from local (it’s a subsidiary of General Electric, and does deals throughout the world), may be more than a little confused when a representative is asked to attend a neighborhood association meeting to discuss zoning changes.
