Basil Braxton Love, a 47-year-old Whole Foods worker died at the Lakewood Whole Foods Market, located on Abrams and Gaston, on Friday morning. 

Love had an 8-year-old son and a wife.

The store closed for several hours on Friday.

Former Store Team Leader Leigh Weiler Honeycutt shared the news on Facebook and shared about the impact he had made on her life while working at Whole Foods Market.

In addition, Love taught people self defense martial arts particularly to women and trans people at low cost, the family friend shared. He was a kind person who cared for others, the friend added.

A GoFundMe has raised over $28,000 from 200 donations to cover funeral services and memorial arrangements. With over 200 donations, the site has raised over $28,000.
