The 422-unit luxury apartment complex that is under construction on Fisher Road between Skillman and Abrams is set to start preleasing around July 15. The three-story complex, the Avery on Southwestern, is named for its location, where Fisher meets Southwestern. Pricing hasn’t been set yet, but a "preview center" is expected to open in mid-July, and the first residents are expected in October, said Daniel Delgado of development company ZOM. The entire project is expected to be complete in the first quarter of 2010.
The Avery is situated on 13 acres near the Medallion Shopping Center. Pricing for the one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments will be "a little more than what you would find in some of the older properties in the Village," Delgado said. But the Avery features high-end finishes, including granite countertops, kitchen islands and spa showers. It also will have two pools, a dog park and a gym with TVs and a Wii game system.
