The Woodrow band’s second-annual chili cook-off is from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at Stonewall Jackson Elementary. Check the April Advocate, on stands later this week, for a story about how the band has made a comeback since two years ago, when there were just 13 members.

The event also includes cow-chip bingo. All proceeds benefit the Woodrow band.
The White Rock Local Market is also producing a chili cook-off Saturday, starting at 11 a.m.
