The annual reading and learning program SMART Summer kicked off for the Dallas Public Library with free events, activities and reading challenges for children and families.
Participants can enroll at all Dallas Public Library locations through Saturday, August 8 to enjoy free science, math, art, reading and technology programs, such as live animal presentations and magic shows, according to a press release.
Enrollees can track reading and learning activities throughout the summer for the opportunity to win prizes such as books, board games and a Nintendo Switch.
“SMART Summer helps families turn learning into an adventure,” said Manya Shorr, director of Dallas Public Library, in a press release. “Whether kids are reading or exploring, they’re building confidence and discovering new interests in a fun and welcoming environment.”
