There are plenty of ways to enjoy the weekend in Dallas. Here are a few outdoor activities before the weather gets too hot.
‘til Midnight at the Nasher
The Nasher Sculpture Center is hosting ‘til Midnight at the Nasher on Friday, May 15, from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m.
This free event will showcase performances by hip-hop artists, Pierce Washington and Carter Ace, followed by a showing of the film, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Food from Wolfgang Puck is available for purchase, bar service and snacks will also be available. Registration can be found here.
Silent Disco in the Park
Silent disco will take place at Klyde Warren Park on Friday, May 15, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. The event is welcome to all ages and hosted by a local DJ. The theme of the night is EDM/House Music. Tickets can be purchased here.
Bike ride through Dallas
Dallas Bike Ride, a 20-mile social ride will happen on Saturday, May 16, at 8 a.m. and is open to all skill levels. Participants will travel through Dallas’ major sites while enjoying live entertainment and ample rest stops.
If riders are interested, but don’t have access to a bicycle, Dallas Bike Ride provides a bicycle rental option.

Celebrate Black Heritage at the Dallas Arboretum
Join the Black Heritage Celebration at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden on Saturday, May 16. The day is split up into two experiences, Sun & Style and Twilight Noir.
Both experiences will feature a vendor market. Sun & Style is the afternoon event and will additionally be a fashion show featuring music from Dallas local band, RC & the Gritz. Twilight Noir prepares live performances from electronic violinist, LaRon Hearst, singer Kelvin Thomas-Edebe, and RC & the Gritz. Tickets and more information can be found here.
Watch a Dallas Trinity FC match
Dallas Trinity will face off Fort Lauderdale FC for a United Soccer League playoff position at the Cotton Bowl Stadium on Saturday, May 16, at 7:30 p.m. Post-match fireworks to follow. Tickets can be purchased here.
AAPI Heritage and Dragon Boat Festival
The third annual AAPI Heritage and Dragon Boat festival will be held at White Rock Lake’s Bath House Cultural Center on Sunday, May 17. Boat racing begins at 8:30 a.m and the festival takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
