National Night Out (NNO), an annual community-building campaign centered around police-community partnerships, will bring with it a slew of local NNO events across the city on Oct. 1. We’ve gathered up a few happening in and for our neighborhood.

Munger Place Historic District 

The historic district will be joining the Dallas Police Department, Fire Station #19, the Friends of Willis Winters Park and the Juliette Fowler community to host their Night Out festivities. From 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Willis Winters Park Pavillion, attendees can expect a helicopter fly-by, a police car, a fire truck and balloon artist as well as a bubble machine and face painting. Dogs are welcome.

Casa View/District 9

Dallas Animal Services will be providing microchips for cats and dogs at the Casa View Night Out event, happening at the Casa View Shopping Center from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

District 14

District 14 Councilmember Paul Ridley and Dallas Park and Recreation Board Member Rudy Karimi will be hosting their Night Out event at Civic Garden Park from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
