Dinner is being prepared for residents at a Dallas homeless shelter.

A group of Dallas chefs are looking for help raising funds to feed some of the city’s homeless population.

Chefs Mark Wootton and Scott Tobey of Garden Cafe, Ryan Barnett of Stephan Pyles and Flora Street Cafe, and Chef Nicole Gossling of Gossling Aprons will be cooking and serving a meal for the 280 residents of The Bridge Homeless Shelter in Downtown Dallas.

A Go Fund Me page has been set up to help pay for the dinner. The chefs are hoping to raise $40 per person, with any additional funds raised will be donated to the shelter.

Wootton said he got the idea after seeing another Go Fund Me Page with a similar goal.

“Essentially it’s the same idea,” he said. “Ours is a little different because we partnered directly with The Bridge.”

The dinner is being hosted at the shelter on Wednesday.

The Bridge opened in 2008.
