Good Records has a couple of things going on this weekend. The old-school Canadian metal band Anvil will meet fans and sign autographs starting at 6 p.m. Saturday to promote their film “Anvil! The story of Anvil.” The band performs at Trees that night. Ben Kweller performs at the store starting at 7 p.m. Saturday to promote his fifth studio album, “Go Fly a Kite.” Here is the facebook invitation for that show.

“The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk” closes at the Dallas Museum of Art Sunday. East Dallas-based filmmaker Cynthia Salzman Mondel will set up her “shoe confessional” at the museum Saturday and Sunday to film women’s stories about their shoes for her project “Sole Sisters.”
