Get a refresher on the classics when Shakespeare Dallas presents “The Tempest” opening this week, Sept. 21, and continuing through Oct. 1. It’s the tale of an exiled duke and his daughter who are shipwrecked on an island by a major storm. See it at the Samuell-Grand Amphitheater, 1500 Tenison Parkway, just bring a blanket or a low-backed chair. Tickets are $15 and available here or at the gate.
Head on over to Half Price Books, this Sunday, Sept. 25, for free family fun. Half Price Books is hosting a Sunday Family Movie Time for any family to come out enjoy a free movie with popcorn. The movie will go from 4-6 p.m.
This Saturday, Sept. 24, The Bath House Cultural Center is hosting the Fall Art Gallery Walk of the Dallas Art Dealers Association. The gallery will have various artists and pieces from all over the Dallas metroplex. From noon-8 p.m, be sure to check out the local talent who create art in our community.
This Friday is the first chance to visit the brand new exhibit at St. Matthew’s Art Cathedral. Check out Carolyn Brown’s photographic exhibit of porcelain tiles that were created decades ago. The event will be hosted in the Justus Sundermann Gallery and is free of charge.
