The Casa Linda Tree Lighting is this Wednesday, Light Up Lakewood is this Friday, and the Dallas Children’s Theater has already begun performances of “Miracle on 34th Street.”  Hopefully, you’ve already bought tickets to Saturday’s Ricki Derek’s “A Merry Little Christmas Show” and the Local Honey’s Holiday Mix concert on Dec. 19, considering that the Lakewood Theater may soon be a theater no more.

Not that we need more to do during the busy holiday season, but if you’re looking, one of these events may be your cup of tea (or hot cocoa).

1. Dallas Arboretum’s 12 Days of Christmas. The giant gazebos with exquisitely designed three French hens and nine lords-a-leapin’ (pictured below) feature music, movement and even light up at night.

2. “Scattered Light” at NorthPark Center. After listening to the Woodrow Wilson High School Variations choir perform at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, head outside to CenterPark Garden to take in the beauty of this new art exhibit by Jim Campbell (pictured at top).

3. Frosty & Friends at Dallas Children’s Theater. No Nutcracker puppets this year, but Kathy Burks Theatre of Puppetry Arts has this show featuring a new tale about everyone’s favorite snowman.
