Authorities arrested a man who is accused of stealing an ambulance from an East Dallas fire station and leading police on an hourslong chase through North Texas on Monday, NBC affiliate Channel 5 reported.

The ambulance was taken Monday morning from Fire Station No. 53 at 1407 John West Road.

The driver refused to stop and led police on a two-hour chase through Dallas, Plano, Allen, McKinney and other North Texas cities, according to Channel 5. In McKinney, the man attempted to evade police by driving off the road and through some neighbors’ lawns.

When the ambulance got stuck on a curb, the driver tried to run from authorities while holding up his falling pants, the station reported.

It’s the second time in two years an ambulance has been stolen from the station.
