The Dallas Park and Recreation Department will install a new shade structure at Tietze Park next week.

The structure will be located in the small playground for 2- to 5-year-olds, said Amanda Schulz, the District 14 park board representative.

Construction will begin Feb. 16 and last about three weeks, weather permitting, according to the park department.

Some areas of the park may be closed during the installation, Schulz said, but the park should be open by the time the weather gets warm enough to play.
