Award-winning chef Donny Sirisavath is cooking up Khao-llaboration pop-ups with other eateries to support the restaurant industry during the coronavirus pandemic.

Inspired by a band tour, the pop-up series will hit the road and use the popular Khao Noodle brand to help generate business at other restaurants, D Magazine reported.

“The Khaoboys are back, and we’re putting the band together and doing a tour of DFW,” according to Khao Noodle Shop’s Instagram account. “The tour is about togetherness, uplifting our industry and community, working with bars and restaurants to promote each other, while creating positive vibes to share with our community.”

The first stop will be from noon to 4 p.m. June 21 at Bowl Mami, a juice and smoothie bowl shop in Carrollton. A general admission ticket is good for noodles and a shareable bite. A VIP ticket will get you two noodles, a shareable bite and a T-shirt.

Several other restaurants, bars and drink shops have agreed to participate in the biweekly pop-ups. According to D Magazine, the lineup includes: The Lowkey Poke Joint, People’s Last Stand, Strangeways, Double Wide, Tasty Tails in Richardson, Four Sisters Vietnamese in Fort Worth and Sandwich Hag in the Cedars.

The menu will include the most popular Khao dishes — plus some that have not yet appeared at the restaurant — paired with drinks, desserts and sides provided by the host restaurants, D Magazine reported.
