The Advocate periodically features new businesses in our neighborhood, especially those that join the Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber hosts monthly membership meetings at the Lakewood Country Club, along with a variety of informational and networking groups the remainder of the month.
Lakewood Veterinary Center moves to new location
Benjamin Wright and his team relocated his 14-year-old Lakewood Veterinary Center from Mockingbird and Abrams to a permanent spot on Belmont Avenue near Greenville Avenue.
Wright lives in Lakewood, and his children attend neighborhood schools. Lakewood Veterinary Center is a former Greater East Dallas Chamber member that let its membership lapse years ago. Wrights says he decided to rejoin the Chamber and its 100+ members to be more closely engaged with the community and support local businesses.
