Dallas restaurateur Scott Jones’ newest creation Jack’s Kitchen is now open for lunch and dinner. The chef-driven southern menu contains Italian, Spanish and Asian influences as well.
The restaurant will be open for lunch Monday through Friday and dinner Thursday through Saturday evenings. The diverse menu includes duck confit hand pies with duck sauce, lobster and dumplings that Jones calls “Unique and amazingly delicious.”
The shareable plates also include deconstructed deviled eggs, fried chicken, shrimp and grit tamales that include chorizo and creole sour cream and a dish that includes pork belly, pork butt and heirloom butter beans. Check out their entire menu here.
Jones is an East Dallas neighbor who lives just minutes from the restaurant on Oram near Skillman, and he previously ran Café Italia on Lovers Lane, Screen Door, Cowtown Diner on Sundance Square in Fort Worth and Jack’s Southern Comfort on Lowest Greenville’s toughest location.
The restaurant will seat 40 diners and will add brunch in the coming weeks. They will also provide take out casseroles for families on the go that will include gluten free and Keto options. “The kids don’t know its Keto, and mom doesn’t have to cook two meals,” Jones says.
Jack’s Kitchen was briefly Jack’s Southern Comfort Kitchen, which focused on healthy southern food and take out meals. Jack’s is located at 6041 Oram St.
