After a couple of construction hiccups, Poké Bop opens today in Lakewood. A press release calls Poké Bop’s traditional Hawaiian poké with a Japanese twist “supreme beach cuisine.”
The deconstructed sushi bowls are prepared by Tommy Hwang, a certified sushi chef with 28 years of experience. “The M Streets and Lakewood neighborhoods of East Dallas offer the perfect demographic for our concept,” Hwang says. “There are so many families looking for fresh and healthy dining options. We look forward to pairing our fast-casual concept with quality ingredients, resulting in great tasting dishes at sensible prices for our new community.”
Patrons can enjoy Poké tacos and massive burritos filled with protein and fresh vegetables. Guests can also check out the Boba Bar for iced or blended boba tea, frozen “sake-tini” or a glass of frozen rosé. The Lakewood restaurant, which offers indoor and outdoor seating, has a completely remodeled interior.
Poke Bop is located in the old ZuZu space in Lakewood Village at 4140 Abrams Road. This is its second location in Dallas. The first restaurant is on Lemmon Ave.
