Update: Man arrested for last week’s Columbia shooting now wanted for murder

Last week police arrested Gerardo Garduno, 31, for aggravated assault after the man he’s accused of shooting identified him. The victim, Grant Pavlis, 37, was transported to an area hospital. At the time DPD said he was expected to survive, but Pavlis died because of his injuries a few days later.

Garduno posted his $25,000 bond for aggravated assault before Pavlis died. Police have issued another arrest warrant for Garduno, charging him with murder. The suspect is currently at large.

Pavlis was shot on Wednesday morning at 4501 Columbia Ave.
