Fuzzy’s Taco Shop will be serving its last tacos in its current location at the northeast corner of Abrams and Mockingbird this Sunday, although the manager says Fuzzy’s plans to open another location in the immediate area within a month or two.

The Dallas-based restaurant Dream Cafe has already signed a lease and will begin remodeling the space, which will include a secure children’s play area, first thing in August. The goal is to finish with construction and begin serving breakfast, lunch and dinner sometime in November.

There are two Dream Cafe locations — one in Uptown and one in Addison — that have been serving the Dallas area for more than 20 years. The East Dallas location is owned by Lakewood neighbor Christine Lott.

Although Dream Cafe is probably best known for its breakfast and weekend brunch, it serves wide lunch and dinner menus full of fresh, “wholesome” American cuisine, including a solid handful of gluten free options.
