Restaurant news: Catch a summer flick at Sundown at Granada

Sundown at Granada 1

Last year, Sundown at Granada played movies on its patio, which owner Michael Schoder says was such a hit that they’ve decided to do it again.

Every Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., the restaurant on Greenville, right next to Granada Theater, will project a film onto a big white screen on its upstairs patio. They’ll also serve half-price whiskey.

They kicked things off last week with Black Dynamite, and they plan to play the cyberpunk thriller, Hackers, this week, June 25.

In July, catch one of the films on the “homegrown” line-up:

July 2 — “Best Little Whore House in Texas”

July 9 — “Reality Bites”

July 16 — “Bottle Rocket”

July 23 — “Dazed and Confused”

July 30 — “Robocop”

August, ushers in the “summer shenanigans”:

Aug 6 — “Dumb and Dumber”

Aug 13 — “Caddy Shack”

Aug 20 — “Monty Python Meaning of Life”

Aug 27 — “Superbad”

In September, check out their “dick flicks”:

Sept 3 — “Starship Troopers”

Sept 10 — “Quicksilver”

Sept 17 — “Roadhouse”

Sept 24 — “Terminator”
