Sushi AxiomRare, a new concept from Chef Andy Tran, formerly of Dallas’s beloved sushi spot Nobu, is now open on Park and N. Central Expressway. See pictures of menu items and interior shots of the restaurant (which will soon have a sweet rooftop pool) here.

This Thursday, The Libertine is hosting the 5th Annual Brass Knuckles Corn Dog eating contest to celebrate Independence Day. Free to enter and participate, and spectators can have fun at a dunk tank starting at 11 a.m.

Mesero Miguel, an “American grill” concept by Mico Rodriguez with a “196o’s Palm Spring-vibe”  is slated to open in the old Cuba Libre spot on Henderson in late August.

Brian Luscher, owner of The Grape and Post Oak Red Hots, has signed a lease to open up a restaurant focusing on “using locally pastured and clean meats” located just across the street from The Elbow Room Bar. Stay tuned for more information about  the concept in the weeks ahead.
